July 11, 2011....countdown 30 days
Today marks the start of a 30 to quest to start living a healthier life by changing my eating habits. Jeff and I are embarking on a new way of eating. We attempted the Paleo lifestyle before, but not with both feet in. This morning kicked off with egg & kale quiche. Each day, I will keep track of what we are eating and log descriptions and pics of our meals. After the next 30 days, I hope to report a successful review of a changed mindset and attitude about what this experience was like. Here we go...

Feeling the spirit this morning
I snapped this picture going down I35 a few weeks ago. I love the beautiful pictures God paints for us throughout the day. What a gift to be able to just look up and see what he's giving us at different times throughout the day. I'm thankful today for my gift of salvation from God, the gift of my husband and kiddos, my parents, Jeff's parents and all of our loving friends.

Football, basketball, more football, more basketball
The last week has been jam packed with football and basketball for Jake. Jeff has been coaching Jake's flag team this season and they have made it to the championship set for Friday night. The boys are ecstatic and hoping for a big win and a big trophy to take to school Monday morning.
Jake also finished up his regular basketball season tonight, with tournament starting in a week or so. They have a great little team this year and seem to work together well. It's so fun watching and cheering them on, they are all go-getters!

Ggggggoooooooaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll....
The ever so wild and crazy Juju finished her first season of soccer last weekend. Jeff and Papa got the honor of accompanying her to her last game, myself and Nannie had to take Jake to his double header basketball game which took place at the same time. At the first of the season, Julia was quick to want to take a break and sit on the sidelines during the game, but eventually began to get the hang of the game and towards the end of the season, had a hard time taking her turn to sit out. She really started enjoying it and has decided she can't wait for the next season to start. In fact, her last game she scored a goal from the half way mark on the field. She was so proud and so are we for giving soccer a try. Way to go Jules!

Teton Halloween Bash 2010!
It was a night full of spooky good fun for the kids of Cascade Estates. We had ghoulishly
good food, frightfully fun games and ended our action packed night with a haunted Halloween
story. Many, many thanks to the wonderful parents who helped make sure everyone was
well fed and highly entertained, it could not have happened without you. Thank you to
the parents who joined us and shared in a wonderful time the kids too. See you all next month
for the Teton Turkey Bowl...soups, chili, cornbread, hot chocolate and most importantly....
some flag football! Happy Fall everyone!
